Until I met you, heartbreak had almost made a home inside me and I didn't realise when I started thinking more of sad endings than fantasizing of a happily ever after. But like a childhood dream come true, you came stumbling through the cracks of my heart and brought happiness packed in your eyes. I was too stubborn to let you in though, afraid you would catch another train the next summer and I would be left with the coldness of your absence. But, who knew you would be patient enough to wait for me until my heart found a safe comfort in yours. It took me time to trust you. I fell in love with you hard and fast but I would show it to you as per my convenience. A minus for me here but when you have been loved wrong all your life, the line between the right and wrong starts blurring. But you only loved me more. I loved you a little more on Wednesdays and avoid your calls on Friday evenings. But you waited. I was never perfect and neither were you. But you kissed my imperfections everytime I felt my heart burning and brought peace. You have your days too. Somedays, it is too hard to break your shell but you've taught me so much in love that I wait and do not let my insecurities win. There is a connection between us which is impossible for me to put into words because it is something which can only be felt and God knows how thankful I am for it, you and the love that you never stop showering me with.

We may not fit each other like lost puzzles but you make love look like beautiful poetry and painting, all in love, everytime your eyes meet mine. We fight and yell at each other like kids at times but then we make up. We give each other space and always find our ways back to each other when it is time to go home. You are crazy and you make me go crazy too but I will never have it otherwise.
