It's the 27th of May, 2021 ; Reference - 17 years later.
I am usually not a morning person and extremely groggy all morning. All you can expect is really bad mood swings and a dull expression from me.
Not today.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S Reunion was not just an episode. It was the closure we all wanted. It was that one good thing, that happened to us in a really long time.
You never know, how some things make room in your heart. This show was there for me, when I needed to laugh or cry or sometimes both at the same time. Life is unpredictable and sometimes, some things are right there when you need them the most.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S is not just another sitcom. It's 10 seasons worth of emotions. It's 236 episodes of bonds and happiness. It's a lifetime of togetherness. It's not just any show. It is a very compelling, heart warming and exceptional sitcom I have ever seen. This show brings various vital life lessons and portrayed friendship in the best way it could be possible. It’s a reflection of our lives which is basically a story of 6 friends trying to find their way. just like we are.
Today, when I saw them together, it just gave me goosebumps. It felt like nothing had ever changed and seeing them cry and joke around, brought back so many moments. It brought back the warmth and comfort, that it always has.
Even though it's the end and it was a total rollercoaster ride of emotions and heartbreak. Their happy ending is the best anyone could ever ask for. The show may have ended, but the legacy will always remain. I am too bad at goodbyes, I know that it's not a sad ending. It can never be.
I have lived this journey with them and I have grown with them. They have taught me so much, and I can never be more grateful. I have learnt to accept my quirky and weird self. Today, when I saw all of those people share their journeys and state that they had you, when they had no one else, it hit too close at home.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S, you are not a series, you are a feeling. You will always be the reason someone smiles during a hard day. Thank you for keeping your promise and your tradition alive of forever imprinting yourself in our heart. Could you be any better?
