Is Online Education In India A Joke?!

Thanks to COVID 19, online education which was once acknowledged as a high class education, a forbidden fruit has now become a road side snack.

Online education was present India, even before outbreak of corona virus. But its usage has reached its peak during this Lockdown period. No one would have thought Zoom app would actually earn such huge profits from a country like India, where once online education was a taboo.

In Indian Education system, as depicted by movies, college is a place where you go to chill, relax, play, tease, get bullied, joke at others, worry about your life, tours, love, dating, friendship, fighting, shopping, learn how to rote, movies, drugs, party, assaulting, affairs…etc. They hardly depict it as a place to study, which I am not sure why.

So, as also being depicted by the Indian memers, Tiktokers. We hardly find that people are actually studying in online classes.

But in reality, people do are studying. They are ready to capture every opportunity that walk across them. People who were never interested in own life are now readily preparing to be Independent. People got time to slow their pace down, to understand what’s actually going on in this chaos, what they are actually doing, whether they are doing correct or not.

To accept the reality, that only 10% of students in India actually study in colleges where they have all the facilities provided to study. Remaining nearly 80% students are merely learning what they are taught in college, textbooks, without any practical knowledge. Yet, we find numerous students who fought themselves and the society to actually know and learn more about the world despite the mere chances provided to them. There are students who stood ahead of many students who had received high class education. Thanks to jio, digital India, students were now more acquainted with Internet and the world, than any generation of India ever.

students now are learning and seeking new ways to improve themselves, finding ways to earn money. many students were seeking online courses to learn new skills, to improve themselves,to attract new opportunities, to buildup their portfolio, to build their Linkedin profile and many other things. they have found diverse ways to learn and express themselves in this lockdown.

Youth of today are seeing reality, learning reality, accepting reality, fighting for the better reality, changing the now version of reality.
