This is not something new to the world, we humans are seeking ways to look, feel and be confident. Confident enough to be acknowledged by others, to be in others good books, to be accepted by others, to make things work.
Since physical appearance is the first thing we notice in others, we often put them in various social boxes. If a person is dressed in an expensive Armani suit, we conclude him as a business man or sort of credible man despite meeting him the first time. If someone appears in worn out clothes, we rarely conclude him as worth enough.
So itβs all in the physical appearance that plays with your mind that makes you stop being rational at the moment. When we understand that physical appearance is important, we try our best to be in others' good books. We try to dress up well. We try to look cool. We try to manipulate others as well as ourselves by trying to look like someone who we arenβt.
But at the end of the day, all the layers which we have masked ourselves in, would be peeled off. We would be with our bare hearts.
You would never like your enemy even if he comes in GUCCI, and we would never hate our family even if they are in $50 pyjamas. You are liking him not because he is promoting those brands, but because for being the way he is. If any other person with the same dressing, physique, body, would have come to you, you would have just shrugged him off.
Makeup and brands may boost your self confidence, but can never build it. Appearance may be the infrastructure of your relationship building, but your heart is the foundation. Trying to appear beautiful and acceptable is never bad, until you have wholeheartedly accepted yourself.
But makeup alone can never make you confident. You need it in you, built by you, for you to never loose it. After all, who wants makeup which takes away the confidence when we wash it off. Donβt let make up takes away your confidence with it.You can still use makeup to make you feel better, for its your life and choice. You can use it to enhance your beauty but never to build it. Sure thing, make up makes you feel good, makes you feel special, but we all want something that wouldn't take away our real us. It should accentuate our real self, rather than mask it with something we really are not.
But the harsh truth is beauty is rarely ignored.
