Hello Guys,I hope you are doing fine.I hope you are going to like this post the way you have liked my other posts. Please Read,Like,Comment and Share my blogs as well. Thanks for reading my blogs and stay tuned for more such blogs.

Today,ie. 01 December is celebrated as World AIDS Day every year around the world. It is celebrated with respect to stopping the spread of AIDS and also to aware people about this disease.World AIDS Day is celebrated on this day since 1988 which is almost 33 years now.A lot of people are not aware about this disease due to lack of sex education.

Today I would be enlightening you all in regards with AIDS,How it is spread, its symptoms, its cure, etc.Starting with how it spreads,HIV is a type of virus which causes AIDS.It interferes with our body's abilities to fight with infections.Basically it slows down our immune system and makes it incapable of fighting with any foreign element which enters our body. The one myth which people usually end up believing is that AIDS can also be caused by mere touch, which is not at all true.We usually shun people away who have come in contact of this fatal disease, which we should avoid doing.

AIDS can only be caused by body fluids and not only through sexual contact which again is a myth.AIDS can be caused by unprotected casual sex, blood transfusions, sharing of needles(in case the syringes used for blood tests are not sterilized)or from a pregnant mother to her new born. These are the only ways through which one can get AIDS.Though there has been a lot of progress in finding the cure for this but these cures can only increase your life span and you can't avoid death completely.

There is no cure for AIDS but if you adhere strictly to the antiretroviral regimens(ARVs) it can dramatically slow down the progress of the disease and also prevent any secondary infections or complications. It is better from our side to take the required precautions so that we can avoid such a fatal disease from infecting us.There is also another myth which I would like to bust is that some people also think that kissing can also spread HIV/AIDS,which has hardly any truth in it.AIDS can spread through semen, vaginal fluids, blood but not saliva.

Now coming towards the precautions; One should avoid having sex with multiple partners.Always use protection while having sex to avoid any kind of STDs. Always use disposable syringes to avoid any kind of inconvenience in future. If pregnant,do make sure to do a check up for AIDS so that you can avoid transmitting that disease to the foetus. Usually AIDS is a disease which is asymptomatic(meaning:producing or showing no symptoms). It usually so happens that a person can be asymptomatic to this disease for about 10 years so its better to have a checkup for AIDS if in case you have gone through a blood transfusion or unprotected casual sex.As there is a lot of stigma related to AIDS,people usually get uncomfortable or ashamed while going for a check up due to the judgemental minds of people and usually die within a few years. It's better for us and for the patient to have a neutral mindset regarding such diseases and not judge the person who has come in contact with it.At the end I would just say one thing that health should be your main priority cause good health can lead to a better life.Stay Aware,Stay Happy.
