Bloating is basically when our stomach gets swelled up after eating.Bloating is caused by excessive production of gas or disturbances in the movements of the peritoneal muscles of our digestive system.It causes discomfort,pain and stuffiness in our stomach.It also makes our bellies look bigger.People often mistake bloating for water retention which is completely different.Water Retention is basically when water is filled up in certain parts of our body which is mostly your feet,ankles or legs.
Bloating can have many causes but the most common cause which one gets to see is when you swallow air or any sort of gas,which usually happens when you eat or drink something.Also aerated drinks can cause bloating so it is better to avoid drinking.It can also be caused by lactose intolerance(ie. intolerance of the digestive system to dairy products).It can be caused by overeating,indigestion,constipation,weight gain,etc. This gas after building up in our stomach causes uneasiness in our digestive system.It also happens to women during menstruation.It is not a serious problem but if left unattended it can be fatal.
The common symptoms of bloating is stomach pain,discomfort and gas.When having a bloated stomach you may also burp a lot or have abdominal gurgling or rumbling.Severe bloating may occur with symptoms such as blood in your stool,weight loss(without trying),nausea,diarrhea, heartburn or fever.
Bloating can be cured through various home-made methods.It is better for us to prevent this situation rather than suffering through it.One can cut down on excess of salts and sugars as well.Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages,aerated drinks,sodas,etc.If intolerant to lactic substances change to drinking green tea.Avoid spicy,deep fried foods,it will definitely help you cure bloating.After having dinner/lunch make sure that after half an hour or an hour later you go out for a walk or do any kind of exercise even if its for 30 minutes.Keep moving if you feel that your stomach is bloated.Through that you can pass out the unnecessary gas out of your system.At the end,I would just say one thing,ie. Health should be your priority cause if you ignore it,it may turn out to be more dangerous.
