Many times we come across movies which do not do good in theatres and so you avoid watching it, but later when you watch it, you realise that it has a beautiful story, amazing cast and deserves more attention and appreciation.
Today I am going to talk about a few such unappreciated and underrated movies of bollywood which I think everyone must watch atleast once in their life; movies that had a great impact on me.
Tamasha
This movie is literally a gem! Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as lead actors and directed and written by Imtiaz Ali, this movie remains to be my favourite till date. This movie talks about mental health problems in a very subtle and easy way. A bit monotonous at some points, this movie delivers great message and ofcourse it has beautiful songs like Tum Sath Ho, Matargashti etc. I would request you to watch it atleast once.
Meri Pyaari Bindu
This movie has the super talented Ayushman Khurana and Parineeti Chopra as the leads. Revolving around the life of Ayushmann, this movie is the most beautiful movie of Parineeti. It is an unusual love story with an amazing album of songs!
Highway
Highway is an Indian road drama film involving the kidnap of a young girl on the eve of her wedding. On contrary of being terrified, the girl finds meaning of her life. An amazing work done by Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda as leads and Imtiaz Ali as director. It has to be the best film of Alia! As again, the best soundtrack is gained from this one
Zid
This is an adult thriller involving a series of twists and turns including a murder. The climax is soo well written like never before! This is a must watch atleast once. It stars Karanvir Sharma, Mannara Sharma, Shraddha Das as leads. This movie gives some of the best songs in your playlist (Tu Zaroori, Saanson Ko)

This movie stars Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao directed by Shoojit Sircar. This movie is a beautiful love-story involving a bond unlike any other which leads to internal awakening. This is a must-watch!
