Today, I am writing about a topic that I feel needs to be discussed and is important. I am a big believer of enjoy every moment to the fullest and sieze the day.
Do you always think to yourself that life would be happier ‘if only’ certain things were different? The truth is that our mind believes whatever we feed it. Feed it jealousy, negativity and doubt, and it will thrive on it. Alternatively, feed it positivity, humor and hope, and it will respond in kind.
Making the most out of life is actually your responsibility. Let's look at some ways to get more out of life.
Stop looking for distractions
Watching excessive TV shows or movies to escape reality and find comfort in a fantasy land is not going to help you in loving your own life. Learn to overcome any problems and realize that life is meant to have problems (everybody's). You just have to not get too bothered about it.
Embrace small joys
Rather than watching TV shows, make time for things that you enjoy doing. Making time for relaxing, enjoying your hobby can help you make happy. You have no idea how much change just a cup of good coffee and playing outdoor games can have!
Reading books
Reading makes you fall in love with life a little more everytime. Each book has something different to offer and teach. Books can be your best friends if you give a chance.
Hangout with the people you love
As an introvert myself, choosing the right people is very important. (Quality over quantity). When you do find your people, make sure to spend time with them once a while. Hanging out with your friends/family will make you appreciate the little joys in your life. You may go for a picnic in the park or watch movie or try out a new restaurant.
Avoid using phone (atleast when you are out)
We are so addicted to phone and social media, that whenever we get a second, we just start scrolling. When waiting in a line or waiting for someone, we instantly start scrolling. Instead, when you are out, waiting in line or for someone, start observing nearby people or the location. Observing will give you mental images which helps in remembering things and appreciate them the next time you think about it.
These are few things that you might try and I'm sure they will give you joy. I hope we all start appreciating life a bit more and fall in love with it!
