Bodyweight Training Vs Resistance Training

While selecting your type of exercise whether it should be bodyweight or resistance exercise there are few things that should be considered while picking up your type, like what is your fitness goal is because some bodyweight exercise can give results better than weight exercise like       1. Body bridge 2.Single-Leg Deadlift 3. Lateral Squat etc. adding to it one shall not forget about physical benefits.

Another way in which bodyweight training is important is that you are not required to have weight so even if you don't have weights you don't have to wait just take your body out workout.

When I train I personally prefer weight training as it helps me to make my bones stronger as well as my muscles feel pumped and I like it that way, but also when I train I make sure that bodyweight exercise should not be left behind as it also plays important role in maintaining your physique, as it ensures you to at-least you are able to lift your body weight. While training with weights you are open to so many exercises which will take a longer time to do if going for bodyweight training. That's why for me (personally) both are important. I have been doing weight training for the last 2 years on-off but it has been a great journey.

While talking about selecting the type of workout it's completely on you, which means whatever you select your body type should be considered during this process as you will train your body as your body should be able to endure those exercises. If you are working out in the gym (most probably while doing weight training) you must have a spotter or gym partner because it will impact you positively likewise for him.

Here are some benefits of both types of exercises to compare and suit yourself:

Bodyweight Exercise:

  1. Building muscle strength for beginners.
  2. Increasing flexibility.
  3. Support natural body movements.
  4. Enhancing muscle endurance.
  5. boosting metabolism and burn fat.
  6. less joint injuries in case of weight training.

Resistance Exercise:

  1. Exerting force on your bones to keep them strong and healthy.
  2. Increasing your energy level.
  3. Improving your posture.
  4. Ability to target specific muscles.
  5. Enhancing strength and increasing muscle mass.
  6. Easy to measure progress based on varying weights.

Henceforth, whenever you are going for weight lifting you should never be pumped up by the useless motivation hyping you up for no reason. Always remember to lift the weight which you can resist and hold up without injuring your arms or any other body part. So be safe stay safe lift weight and stay healthy.
