Another success from STR; don't expect too much and you won't be let down; the movie started after an hour, but you won't feel that much of a drag during that hour; I know this because I made a reservation for an 11.35 p.m. show and am not at all sleepy.
The intermission and the finale scene really didn't offer any fresh or unexpected twists because they were expected, but they were still interesting enough to keep us interested in the movie.
As usual, STR is top-notch, and Gautham Karthik's acting was noticeably better than in his prior films.
GVM, in my opinion, ought to have played that job instead; but, a different variety of GVM is acceptable here.
ARR returned with another upbeat BGM and songs; the lyrics were excellently written and Despite its predictability and lack of freshness, Pathu Thala, the Tamil version of Shivarajkumar's popular Kannada film Mufti, remains enjoyable. The movie plays out just how you would expect it to, with a few surprises like another spy in AGR's fort. The claimed emotional exchange between AGR and his sister—who are not friendly—is theatrical and out-of-date. In a cold and violent movie, even the parts that show people's affection for AGR come out as corny. Yet, these are not Pathu Thala's main issues. In a technical sense, AR Rahman's soundtrack greatly complements the movie. It resembles the film's spine in many ways. He gives the music in the movie everything. The visuals of Farook Basha and his choice of colours for the film are both excellent.
Pathu Thala is an entertaining action movie with excellent stunt choreography and acting. It establishes a standard for the soundtrack and cinematography and never lowers it. Without ever veering off course, it gives the original plot justice. This would have been a must-watch movie if the second half's pacing and the storyline as a whole had been a little better. That is still a terrific weekend viewing, though.dry, and his performance demonstrates why his followers remain devoted to him. As Guna, Gautham Karthik excels and delivers a controlled performance that calls for a lot of underplay. The character of Priya Bhavani Shankar should have been written better because it seems unimportant to the story.
The supporting cast includes Gauthan Vasudev Menon, who appears in yet another antagonist role and seems to be stuck in a rut as a bad guy. But he effectively persuades us with his performance. Moreover, Redin Kingsley and Teejay provide a lot of depth to the picture. Redin also makes excellent counters that instantly make you laugh. For instance, when he is struck and starts bleeding, he responds, "Irunga da,☰
The plot of this Simbu movie will keep you occupied.
Simbu portrays a don with a good heart who defies betrayal, retaliation, and undercover police officers without the aid of the script.
Put money aside.

Pathu Thala evaluation The plot of this Simbu movie will keep you occupied.
Let me begin this review with a scene from Pathu Thala so you may get a sense of the story's unfettered absurdity. At one point in the film, Simbu, who is portraying the don AGR, says to his estranged sister, "You've been mad at me all this time for killing off your husband. But did you ever enquire as to why I killed your Annan [older brother]? The sister appears.Almost an hour into the film, Silambattam starts. until the conclusion of the film. KING Always A KING. STR Screen Presence for ruling. Role's support was best handled by Goutham Karthik. Background Music was fantastic as usual ARRGM Sankar Priya Bhavani I am Teejay Kalaiyarasan. All respectable Roles Redin Pistol.
A great gangster movie. Gautam Karthick and STR steal the show. Str exudes style and aggression in both appearance and behaviour. The storytelling velocity of Gautam is impressive. Good acting by Priya and Kingsley.
In this film, Gautam Menon adopts a fresh style.
A good, interesting gangster all around.
Character in-depth lags are a drawback.
Some scenes are both cinematic and illogical. Some situations could be averted. Rahman BGM's effectiveness is limited. merely a few tunes. There may have been less noise.
Ultimately, STR's blockbuster...This film's main support system is AR Rahman, whose bgm and songs are all excellent.
Simbu is truly back to his or her best in this film, and the other actors also delivered excellent performances. We are all aware that this is a remake of the popular kannada film Mufti, but they have done it justice.
For Simbu lovers, it's a terrific remake overall with some heart-stopping moments. One of the most remarkable features of Kannada director Narthan's 2017 film Mufti was how it depicted the criminal underworld through the eyes of a cop sent undercover to find a notorious mafia don. The criminal lord, played by Shiva Rajkumar, was always present in the background of every scene till he finally made a dramatic entrance. Even before he appeared, the anticipation was palpable as he quickly evolved into a legend, a ghost, and a Godfather-like character.
Silambarasan TR, who plays mafia boss AG Raavanan, a.k.a. AGR, makes a dramatic arrival midway through Mufti's Tamil version Pathu Thala, but director Obeli N Krishna decides to show him in a shot immediately at the start. There's still some mystery. Even though,We begin in the middle of a contentious political conflict between the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Arunmozhi (Santhosh Pratap), and the deputy chief minister, Naanjilaar Gunasekaran (Gautham Vasudev Menon), who is powerful enough to overthrow the government. In an unexpected turn of events, the Chief Minister is abducted, and everyone's attention is focused on AGR, a notorious mining mafia boss in Kanyakumari. Gautham Karthik's Sakthivel (as Gana) is dispatched to learn more because all efforts are in vain. The fact that the majority of the party members believe Naanjilaar was involved in the CM's disappearance only fuels his resentment towards AGR.
