It is the story of two tribes known as the Israelites and the Philistines. Since they were enemies, they planned a big battle with each other and formed an army.

The Philistines had a huge army, including a giant named Goliath. He is believed to have been 9 feet high! He wore a huge helmet and armor all over his body. It was made of bronze and weighed 125 pounds. Goliath also wore a bronze greave on his leg and had a sharp spear on his back.

Goliath said on the battlefield: Why do you come out and stand to fight? Choose a man and drop him down on me. If he can fight and kill me, we will be your subject. But when I defeat him and kill him, you become our subject and serve us.

For 40 days, Goliath approached the Israelites and challenged them. A little Shepherd boy heard this and decided that it was he who would fight Goliath. His name was David and he was one of the Israelites. He asked his leader, King Saul, about it. Saul agreed that David would be a fighter against Goliath and said, “Go and the Lord is with you”. King Saul dressed David in his very own tunic. Armor was put on his body for protection and a large helmet was put on his head. But David was not used to this. “I cannot go in these, because iam not used to them” said David and removed them.

Then he went to the nearby stream and put five smooth stones in the bag pocket. Then he approached the Philistine Goliath. When he saw David approaching, Goliath said, “Am I the dog you attack me with a stick?” Come here and I'll kill you.

David replied, “You are hostile to me with a sword, javelin, but I have the Lord on my side!”. He hit the giant with a small stone. It hit Goliath's skull and he fell to the ground. Even with his sword and armor, David killed Goliath and prevented the Israelites from becoming Philistine slaves.

Then David grabbed Goliath's sword and used it to cut off the giants head. The Israelites gasped for distrust before supporting David's Victory. Meanwhile, the Philistines recognized their defeat and fled the battlefield.

David then took the giants head and brought it to Jerusalem as a symbol of his victory. He also put his sword-like giants weapon in his tent.
