Noah, also spelled Noe, the hero of the biblical story of the Deluge in Genesis, Old Testament, is the representative head of the Semitic line as the founder of Viticulture and father of Shem, Ham and Japheth. As a synthesis of the traditions of at least three biblical sources, Noah is the image of the righteous, who made a covenant with God of Israel, Yahweh and was assured of nature's future protection from catastrophe.

Noah builds an Ark:

God said to Noah, " The world is full of violence, destroy all flesh. Build an ark of hori wood with an interior, three decks and a door. Cover inside and outside with pitch and Noah did exactly what God commanded him(Genesis 6:13-22).

The Animals come to Noah:

God also said to Noah, “ Take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and a pair , a pair of unclean animals, and seven pairs of birds of the air, that they may keep their Descendants alive all over the earth”(Genesis 7:2-3).

Noah and Family enter the Ark:

Noah and his family entered the ark because of the impending flood. And all the land animals of that kind took with them two males and two females, asGod had commanded. And God closed the door(Genesis 7:7-16).

A Flood covers the earth:

Then the great flood began. The deep spring broke and the windows of heaven were opened. Forty days and forty nights it rained. The water rose until all the tall hills on Earth were covered. All that lived on the land perished in the raging flood(Genesis 7:17-24).

The Great flood subsides:

For 150 days the water flooded the earth. And God remembered Noah and the beasts in the ark. When the waters receded, the ark rested on Mount Ararat(Genesis 8:1-5).

Noah sends out a dove:

After releasing the crow, Noah released a dove to see if there was dry ground. However, I returned without finding a place to settle down. After seven days, Noah sent the bird out again, and he returned with a fresh olive leaf. And Noah knew the ground was drying up(Genesis 8:6-12).

Noah leaves the Ark:

God said to Noah, “ Come out of the ark and bring the animals, that they may bear fruit and multiply and fill the earth.”(Genesis 8:13-19).

God's promise to Noah:

Noah built an altar and offered a burnt offering to the Lord on it, and God said, God blessed Noah and his family with words, “ Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth.”(Genesis 8:20-22)
