Cheers to Mad Hatter Day, a day I cherish greatly! Held on October 6th each year, this enjoyable occasion is all about having fun and accepting life's amazing absurdity. I get to relax and embrace the whimsical side of life on this day, which is inspired by the Mad Hatter from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
What's frenetic Hatter Day?
The name "Frenetic Hatter Day" comes from the character in Lewis Carroll's notorious book. The frenetic Hatter is known for his strange gestures and delightful personality. The date, October 6th, is chosen because of the price label on the frenetic Hatter's chapeau, which says "10/6". This little detail adds to the charm of the vacation and reminds us to celebrate the silly effects of life.
How I Celebrate
Every time, I look forward to celebrating frenetic Hatter Day in my own unique way. This time, I decided to throw a tea party for my musketeers. I decorated my living room with bright colors and fun decorations. I made various cupcakes, succulent sandwiches, and, of course, a big pot of tea. I indeed created a sign that said "Drink to Wonderland!" to set the mood.
When my musketeers arrived, we all wore our silliest headdresses. Some of us had big, fancy headdresses, while others wore funny little bones. We sat around the table, ready to enjoy the treats and each other's company. As we belted our tea, we participated in our favorite quotations from Alice in Wonderland. My fave was, "We are each frenetic then", which captures the spirit of this day.
Silly Games and Horselaugh
After our tea party, we decided to play some silly games. We played a game where we had to tell ridiculous jokes and see who could make the other person laugh the hardest. The horselaugh filled the room, and it felt great to enjoy similar unconcerned fun.
We also tried to answer silly mysteries. One of my musketeers asked, "Why is a raven like a jotting office?" We all scratched our heads, trying to come up with answers, but it only made us laugh more.
A Day to Flash Back
As the day went on, I realized how important it is to take a break from our busy lives and just have fun. Frenetic Hatter Day is a memorial to not taking effects too seriously. It’s about enjoying the little moments and celebrating our creativity.
When the sun began to set, I felt thankful for the awful day we had together. I know that I'll always look forward to Frenetic Hatter Day, where I can celebrate the joy of being a little frenetic.
Still, I encourage you to do it this coming time! Throw a tea party, and wear a funny chapeau, If you have not famed frenetic Hatter Day yet. Let’s make life a little further magical and delightful!
