Action Will Destroy Your Procrastination! Part 2

This is the following part of the blog "Action Will Destroy Your Procrastination"; there may be a further one or two. Please follow me if you appreciate reading my blog.

Give yourself a motivational pep talk.

"Self-talking" is an excellent approach to relax and concentrate. Positive self-talk might even help you achieve your goals. Use your name to address yourself. Tell yourself that you can (and will) do this task.

[1] Self-talk by stating something like, "Jenny, I know this week has been difficult for you, and you're exhausted." You've written a million essays, and you're going to kill it this time."
[2] You might also question yourself: "Jenny, why are you nervous about this?" You know you're capable."
[3] Self-talk aloud if possible. If you're in a public setting, it will also work in your brain.

Aim for done over perfect.

Imagining the ideal project might be holding you back. If it's not done, it's nothing, therefore let go of your idea (or anxieties) of the flawless outcome. You can't also change something that doesn't exist yet.

Promise yourself a prize when you finish it.

Motivate yourself by doing something you enjoy. Just convince yourself that when it's over, you'll be able to celebrate with something you enjoy. Use your excitement to drive yourself through the discomfort.

Stop punishing yourself for procrastinating.

The more worried you are, the more difficult it will be to do your assignment. Don't be mad with yourself. Instead, go on and concentrate on what you need to do.

[1] Guilt and remorse are emotionally taxing. Spending time shouting at yourself for not starting that 2,000-word article two weeks ago will leave you exhausted and irritated. It will also stress you out, making it difficult for you to complete your task at such time.

Choose a workspace that is convenient for you.

Make your surroundings as distraction-free as possible. Make a wonderful study or workplace where you'll be performing the most of your work. It's extremely crucial to have a separate workspace for work and one for relaxation.

[1] This may be a library, a coffee shop, a neighbourhood bookshop, or your home office.

To avoid phone distraction, download an app.

Stop scrolling while you should be working by using a tool. Smartphones are notorious for sucking up all of our time and attention. There is, of course, an app for that! Quickly download whichever software appears to be the greatest fit for your specific procrastination issue.

[1] For rapid solutions, App Detox is the best option.
You may select a time for Yelling Mom to start pestering you to do anything.

[2] Procraster asks you to determine the root of your procrastination before offering ideas on how to solve the problem.

[3] A simple timer app may also be used to specify how long you plan to work and then how long you intend to take a break. When the timer goes off, rapidly swap chores and keep to your plan.

Let's call it a day for the time being. This will be continued in my upcoming blog.
