When we talk about hobbies, it varies from person to person. From the time when a child starts growing up, they develop a lot of changes both mentally and physically and which is why that particular phase of a child is considered to be the most delicate and powerful age at the same time when they can learn new things, develop their interests and be artistic.
But apart from hobbies, there exist few activities that people claim to have it as a hobby but a majority of them might not be aware, it is much more than just a hobby - TRAVELLING
Yes, I am talking about of that we use once in our lives - ‘I want to travel the world’, ‘Let's go on a Weekend Gateaways’, ‘Bachelorette trips done right’, ‘Maldives for Honeymoon’ etc. More than just a hobby or an interest, travelling helps you gain freedom, peace of mind, socializing, opening mindset, maturity, managing your own stuffs, saving money and the list goes on.
On the other side, if we talk about females and travel together - it's contrary! If we look at the data insights, we have a clear picture that young females in majority had to face problem not just fulfilling their dreams of passionately travelling but also are getting hampered of not being able to develop the qualities like socializing, knowing the world in a different perspective, independency. Being able to do what you like when you like is something that is often underrated.
My question here is - If you can send your girl to a new family trusting that she will handle it all, then what stops you in sending your girls out of the houses? Not everytime it should be about safety, trust and crimes, now is the time and it definately has to be about making our girls able to survive all kinds of situations, opening up with the world outside, build up confidence and making mature decisions, that is when women empowerment will win . It is high time when we collectively should work on it.
On an ending note, I would like to pin down some of my beliefs about travelling the world.
These are few experiences shared by the solo women travellers :
“Those moments are when we learn most about ourselves and rise up to overcome hurdles.”
“Traveling with friends or family will often cause people adapt to suit others in terms of what they do and where they visit. With solo travel, the ability to be selfish and do what you really want to do is wonderfully liberating.”
