For many travelers, the idea of a vacation is to explore popular destinations like France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. Traveling to these places is quite expensive for us Indians. But there are some offbeat destinations in Europe that are budget-friendly for Indians. These countries enthusiastically promote tourists and interact with them in a very friendly manner.

There are more than 40 countries in the European continent.  Each of these places offers a variety of features such as culture, history and landscape.  We are sharing some of the most beautiful off-beat European destinations that will give you incredible fun and unforgettable experiences.  You might not even have heard of these offbeat places.  But the sights and experiences here are something to be enjoyed.


 

Malta

One of the tiniest nations in the world is Malta. It is a European island nation. Three islands make up the archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. The historic structures, beaches, hills, and settlements of this island, which has a history reaching back to 5,200 BC, are its main draws. At various points, the area was inhabited by the Phoenicians, Sicilians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Normans.


Ammochostos

Cyprus is an island nation with a settlement called Ammochostos Stos. It will be interesting to see the mosques, historic Venetian walls, and beaches with golden sand. Famagusta is a city on Cyprus's east coast that is close by to this one. East of Nicosia, near Famagusta, was a significant maritime city in mediaeval times.

Bulgaria, like the majority of European nations, has experienced numerous invasions over the years, each of which has left its stamp on the country's history. In Bulgaria, you can experience cultures from the Soviet Union to the Greek, Roman, and Ottoman occupations. In Sofia, attractions include the National Historical Museum, Church of St. George, Boyana Church, and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
 

Tallinn

One of Europe's best preserved mediaeval cities is Tallinn, which is located in Estonia. The largest city in Estonia and its capital is Tallinn. It is situated alongside the Gulf of Finland on Estonia's northernmost coast. Tourists will be fascinated by the renowned cathedrals and historical sites from the mediaeval era.
 

Transylvania

Romania's Transylvania is most known for its Dracula's Castle. It is one of the quirky vacation spots in Europe that you must see. Additionally, the region offers charming villages with Saxon churches constructed in the 12th century. The views of the Apuseni Mountains and the mediaeval castles Bran Castle, Raznov Castle, and Saxon Fortified Churches will take your breath away.


Slovakia

Slovakia is a country in Central Europe with beautiful woods, cathedrals, caverns, national parks, and historic buildings that are architectural wonders. With its adventure, culture, and ski resorts, it is also a fantastic winter getaway. Travel destinations include the High Tatras, Spis Castle, Slovak Paradise National Park, Bratislava, and Demanovska Cave of Liberty.
 

Riga

Riga, a city on the banks of the Daugava River, serves as the country of Latvia's capital. This historic city, which was established in 1201, is also a World Heritage Site. a superb illustration of traditional European construction. The neighbourhood also has stunning churches, museums, and historic forts that are mesmerising. The largest city in the Baltic region is Riga.
