Every year on July 7, we honor Global Forgiveness Day as a way to
goodwill among individuals and it provides us with an opportunity to make amends and strengthen our bonds.
National Forgiveness Day was established in British Columbia in 1994 by The Christian Embassy of Christ's Ambassadors.
A later name change for the day was "Global Forgiveness Day."
One of the most important lessons imparted by all world religions is the ability to forgive and let go of bad feelings following an insult.
It's critical to forgive in both our personal and interpersonal interactions.
Forgiving others makes us feel better about ourselves.
It can also strengthen bonds between people and aid in the healing of wounds.
I hope that everyone who has been harmed by Forgiveness Day finds peace and forgiveness. I pray that forgiveness opens doors to happier and more tranquil times ahead."
"On this unique day, I hope you find the bravery to ask for forgiveness from people you have injured and the strength to forgive those who have wronged you. Allow forgiveness to serve as a link to heal strained bonds between people.
"Enjoy your Forgiveness Day! May we be motivated by this day to forgive, let go of grudges, and let go of resentment. We can give it as a lovely present to ourselves and to others."
"I hope you have a kind and understanding Forgiveness Day. May love replace resentment and suffering with growth and forgiveness."
"As Forgiveness Day draws near, may you discover in your heart to pardon those who have wronged you. Accept the power of forgiveness and benefit from the freedom it offers."
"Let Forgiveness Day serve as a reminder that forgiveness frees us from the weight of our own bitterness and wrath, not that it excuses the actions of others. I hope that forgiving brings you serenity."
"May we choose compassion over rage, understanding over criticism, and forgiveness over resentment on this Day of Forgiveness." Let our relationships be built on forgiveness."
“Enjoy your Forgiveness Day! May forgiveness pave the way for peace, heal shattered hearts, and usher in an era of empathy and understanding.
We should all be reminded that we are all fallible and capable of growing from our mistakes on Forgiveness Day. Allow forgiveness to serve as a catalyst for both growing personally and healing damaged relationships."
"A very special Forgiveness Day to you. I pray that you will have the fortitude to extend forgiveness, the humility to ask for it, and the discernment to draw lessons from the past.
