Yagya's First Love Story [Pt1]

Hey dear!!!

This story is about 4 years ago. At that time I was studying in class 8, in a co- education school. Our school used to have to shifts and I studied in second shift which usually was conducted from 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm. I was a popular girl from the A section, 8 class and second shift. I am not trying to brag but I was the only student who had achieved a lot of success for our school. I was the first student from 7 class to participate in regionals. I was a part of 13 trips in just 3 years. Some of them were very far from my hometown. I participated in national level science Congress continuously three times in  6,7 and 8. I was good at giving speeches, reciting poems, debates, elocution etc etc. I was good at singing and not bad in dancing. I had always scored 97+ in my examinations and teachers were impressed by me. In terms of looks I used to look like a cat or a baby tigeress, with my large shiny eyes and sharp eyebrows. You may have got an idea that I was a complete package, but still not a single body dared to express their feelings for me. It maybe just because no-one really had a crush on me, or I was too polite to others ( except my close friends) and deserved a lot of respect. Or I think nobody dared to do so because I had already tied rakhi ( string that sisters tie to brothers) to all the boys of my class except two of them[ I will tell about it later].

So, the real story began in the month of August. I remember very well that it was the day before rakshabandhan. We all were having fun in our class, as our science teacher had treated us with the samosas and cold drinks. The scenario of our class was awkwardly funny. Most of the boys were refusing girls and girls were insisting to tie the rakhi. No one refused me to do so. As I had already tied it last year and it was obvious that I was going to tie the rakhi this year too. But I was completely shocked by the reaction of my best friend. We were best friends since the age of 3 and shared all of our secrets. I used to call his mother “mummy” and he did the same. I had never tied a rakhi on his hand because he leaves the town for one week to go to his maternal relative's house. But I was very excited to toe it this year, as he was staying this year due to some family issues. At first I thought that he is just kidding by hiding his hands behind himself. But after a tons of unsuccessful trials, I realised that he wasn't smiling and was serious. I let him be thinking that he has got some family problems and must be depressed regarding them. I moved on. After few minutes when I was busy with by bros and rakhis, I heard the fall of furnitures and some screams. I was scared as hell. On peeking from the window I realised that two boys are fighting outside and one of them is bleeding from his nose, the other one had a cut on his arm.

Suddenly my seatmate, frightened, entered the class and sat on the desk next to me. She said,"Hey! Yagya, why don't you teach your best friend some manners?"

“What's wrong with Ansh?”, I questioned.

“He never leaves a chance to pick fights. He is just opposite of you, How can someone be so cruel. Vishu is bleeding but he still doesn't seem to care and keeps on beating him”. She answered

I was stunned. I left all the rakhis and gifts and ran as if I was running for my own life.

It shows that bestfriends can be real life partners also. And the love can happen between two opposite people also. As everyone have heard that opposite attract.
