Meditation is the art of letting go, of going into deep rest in a state of awareness.
Meditation is not concentration or focus,as it is commonly mistaken and misunderstood to be. In fact it's the opposite of that. Meditation is deconcentration and just being . It is not about having no thoughts at all .But it is observing the thoughts and innocently accepting that those thoughts are there.
Here are my 5 key takeaways from 30 days experiment of daily meditation π§ββοΈ β¨.
1γRegular Meditation changes the way your brain π§ works.
According to science- discovery had shown that the circuits in the brain , that are important for regulating both attention and emotion can be transformed by meditation.
Isn't it insane.
# Dalai lama once said, " the mind is definitely something that can be transformed and meditation is a means to transform it".
2γ The quality of my daily life drastically improved . When you meditate regularly you start to live life in the present moment.
( The part of the point of meditation is to return oneself continually to the present to the moment)
β As you get to experience life more and more like this, you will start to see what real living is as compared to just existing.
It is said that once Buddha was asked , " what have you gained from meditation?
He replied, " nothing " . However! Let me tell you what I have lost.
I lost: anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of old age and death " .
Isn't that amazing π. When I started meditating , my head was clearer, i made better decisions, i slept better, I delt with stressful situations better , I got to know myself better . And all this at zero cost. It didn't cost me any money.
Yes it took time but as a result of meditation it also felt like I have more time in a day to get stuff done.
And most importantly
βTHE constant chatter of mind drastically reduced and sometimes there were just these periods of glorified intense quite in my head-- this is a bliss. To have a calm head space. ..
Take out some time for yourself and try this atleast for 2 weeks and result will be within youβ¦..
