Every year on May 21, the world celebrates International Tea Day. Tea drinkers come together to celebrate their preferred brew on this day. Additionally, methods to sustain tea production and consumption are promoted on International Tea Day. On this day, we can learn more about the value of tea in the fight against hunger and poverty. HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL TEA DAY:

In 2005, nations that produce tea gathered to commemorate International Tea Day. Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, and Uganda were among them. The International Tea Day will be observed on May 21 in 2019 according the Intergovernmental Group on Tea's decision. The United Nations approved the December 21 celebrations. May 21, 2020 marked the inaugural International Tea Day recognised by the United Nations.

According to projections, the number of people who drink tea will rise along with the global population. Tea is quite popular in China and India. With 37% of the world's population living in just these two nations, India and China are home to many tea enthusiasts. Tea was allegedly discovered by Chinese Emperor Shen Hung when tree leaves blew into a pot of boiling water. Humanity has not turned back since he fell in love with the hot liquid.

Tea has several health advantages in addition to just being a tasty beverage.
