The modern age is the age of science. We, the modern man lives in the lap of science. The things of our needs from the smallest pin to the largest engine are the products of science. In every walk of life science is our service. Thus science is a blessing to us.

deadly weapons show the ugly face of science, we cannot deny the gifts science has given to us. Science has made life easy and comfortable. In the field of medicine and surgery science has done remarkable progress. It has made many incurable diseases of the past curable.

 In the field of transport, the achievements of science are wonderful. The age of horse-drawn carriage and bullock-cart is gone. It is the age of aeroplane and rocket. We now cover the

distance of months in days, of days in hours, of hours in minutes. Even the sea, mountains, deserts do not stand in our way. Similarly in the field of communication, the inventions of science are surprising. Wireless, radio, telephone, mobile, television, computer, satellite, internet, etc. have made the world look small.

 The whole world is in our drawing room from where we can see it. We can talk and chat with our friends who are thousands of kilometres away. Electricity is the finest gift of science, without which the inventions were

possible. the other side of science is sad. It has invented deadly weapons which are highly destructive. Nuclear weapons can annihilate them in no time. However, science is neither good nor bad. It depends use it. Let us make the best use of science for a happy and

peacefully progressive life.
