EXTERIOR DESIGN
Jeep Compass was launched in 2017 with a design we admired and after that, the 2021 facelift got the biggest change as now it got the new nose, the newly angled Jeep, the big air damp which will surely appeal to you, now the grill Is free of chrome including the Jeep's logo and all is changed with anodized gunmetal grey and it just looks mindboggling. There is new white fog sunken deep into the recesses of the bumper, the LED headlights give needed bling to the nose, and also a new 360-degree bird view park assist camera is fixed at the nose
SIDE (BODYLINE)
Around the side you get the diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels covered in those big bold wheel arches, the roofline is continued with dull grey metal finish and roof rails are also functional, the benefit of higher ground clearance can also be seen here and the proportions of the car are still retained near to perfect stance.
Just the taillights are new in the rear while the luggage carrying capacity remains the same 420 ltrs,
the boot also gets a subwoofer installed and even the tailgate opening and closing is not an issue now because of an electric button placed oddly inside the boot. This functional tailgate was much awaited
INTERIORS AND COMFORT
The biggest change in the new Compass is inside it, Now the solid built rugged, strong Compass is sophisticated and inclined towards High specs and luxury, apart from seats everything is changed inside the car. New dash, new door pads, a humongous touchscreen panel, and a new central console along with a new MID are offered now.
High-quality fox leather is used inside the Compass at almost every visible point even the dash is covered with a stitched leather, steering, armrest, and whatnot, piano black finish is evident around the new dual one climate control ac holding feature like cooled seats, the quality of the switches feels very upmarket and the
The new U-Connect touchscreen supports wireless apple car play and Jeep Life app, online customer software updates are also available on it.
An eight-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function is also offered with a massive dual-pane sunroof.
The backseat battle was never won by Compass as the rear headroom and legroom is quite less and the central tunnel makes it best for 2 adults and a child however the under-thigh support and seat cushioning are on a much premium side, rear A/C wents does the job very well making it a very practical 4 seater.
RIDE & HANDLING
Compass is one of the most fun to drive SUV available in the entire segment, its stability at high speeds and the way it controls body-roll even after being an SUV is fantastic.
The steering weighs up very well at high speeds making the ride flatter and on the bumps, it just manages to glide smoothly rough surface offroading is not a big task in it as it is also available in 4x4 options.
PERFORMANCE
The Compass is powered by a 2litre 1956 cc Bs6 turbocharged diesel engine producing 167horses and 350 Nm torque which is quite decent,turbo-lag is minimal, refinement of the engine is exceptionally good and the power delivery is very linear no sudden punch of torque is experienced but it does maintain triple-digit speeds with ease, downshifting is also quite easy task
SAFETY
Compass comes with a range of safety features such as 6 Airbags, ABS, EBD, hill start assist, rollover mitigation, all 4 disk brakes, and a body made of high strength steel making this car the safest SUV of the segment.
CONCLUSION
The Compass Limited (o) model will cost you around 24.5 lakhs on-road New Delhi making it much expensive not only that Jeep service centers are also not available everywhere however its a reliable product and as it's not fully localized the cost of service and spare parts will be on the higher side and the cabin space of the car is also a downside, But if you are looking for a performance-oriented car and money is not an issue, Jeep service centers are nearer to your town and you want to experience a much higher quality product than you should definitely go for it.
