Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead in his Bandra, Mumbai, home on June 14, 2020.
He was 34 years old at the time.
On July 25, the actor's father, KK Singh, filed a police complaint in Patna, citing Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and others.
He also accused Rhea of stealing crores from the actor's bank account in the FIR.
None of these allegations have yet been confirmed.
IN THE SUSHANT DEATH CASE, WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE INVESTIGATION?
Rhea filed a petition with the Supreme Court in response to KK Singh's FIR, and a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) investigation was requested.
Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead seven months ago.
The CBI is yet to say if the death was the result of suicide or murder.
In December 2020, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy requested an update on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
In response, the CBI stated that they were investigating all aspects.
EXAMINATION OF WITNESSES, INVESTIGATION OF CBI CLAIMS
During its inquiry, the CBI interviewed both witnesses and claimed to have conducted a "thorough investigation" into the matter.
The research is being carried out using the 'new analytical methods,' according to the department.
"Advanced mobile forensic equipment, including the new applications, is used during the investigation for retrieval and analysis of sensitive data available in digital devices, as well as for analysis of dump data of the relevant cell tower locations specific to the event," the CBI wrote in response to Subramanian Swamy's question.
COOPER HOSPITAL DOCTORS WERE INQUIRED ABOUT
Officials from the CBI interviewed doctors from Cooper Hospital who conducted an autopsy on the late actor as part of their investigation.
After his burial, Sushant was rushed to the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, where his autopsy was performed after sunset.
The Mumbai Police had previously ruled Sushant Singh Rajput's death to be a suicide based on medical opinion and comments.
On June 14, they filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and started treating the case as a suicide.
The Bihar Police, on the other hand, began a concurrent investigation after KK Singh's FIR.
When the matter was moved to the CBI in August 2020, all proceedings came to a halt.
AIIMS DOCTORS DISQUALIFY THE PLAY.
"Sushant's death was ruled a suicide. Murder has been ruled out entirely "Last year, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who headed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel re-evaluating the actor's post-mortem and viscera records, told India Today that the actor's post-mortem and viscera reports needed to be re-evaluated.
The AIIMS commission, which was created to re-examine Sushant Singh Rajput's viscera samples and autopsy records, had thus ruled out foul play.
The CBI is yet to say if Sushant Singh Rajput's death was a homicide or a suicide.
NCB ARRESTS RHEA CHAKRABORTY
The opioid and money laundering aspects of the case are still being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
On September 8, the NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty in connection with a narcotics investigation.
Rhea spent nearly a month in Mumbai's Byculla jail before being released on bail in October.
The NCB also arrested her brother, Showik Chakraborty, who was released on bail in December 2020.
