I don't know from where to start .Most of the people I met first time, pronounced my name wrong or either had a enigmatical face. Yah fine ! I know that I have a unique name . Today I am gonna share some of the incident I remember …
One of my teacher asked me ,what's your name ? basically he asked everyone because he was taking intro of the class , so when he cames to me I said Sahitya casually ..he takes a sec or two and then asked with a smiling face , do you know the meaning of your name ? … well who don't know the meaning of his/her name! obviously I didn't said that ..I replied “yes sir, it means Literature ”. he said “good”. I don't don't know why but I just smiled . It happened with me lots of time . I kinda felt great .
So many teachers ,friends at first pronounced my name wrong ..well that's ok but some people don't even try to make it right and keep going with that strange name that they had given me . One of my class teacher called me with wrong pronunciation the whole year .
Since my name is a Hindi word so it came in Hindi books a lot. Whenever my name comes whole class would be like starring at me ..I kind of felt embarrassed.. yah I know I am weird . But I miss those days of school. Now I nor have Hindi subject neither offline school .
Once in online class my new chemistry teacher asked me are you girl or boy. It feels so strange to me like what type of question was that ! but later I felt that it's ok . Not only in online class once in 10th class my teacher said that this name is for a boy .. well I can have the name I want whether it is for girl or boy .
I am pretty sure u there reading this and having a unique name felt that too . And remember that everybody have a unique name. Share with someone who you think have a unique name .
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right.
