Nayanthara’s Connect – Has Connectivity Issues.....

Story:

Susan (Nayanthara) loses her husband Vinai Rai because to covid. Although this shocks everyone, Susan's daughter Anna is the most affected. She attempts to contact with her father's ghost with the help of an outside force. However, a horrific sequence of events results in her being controlled by an unknown ghost, who causes havoc in the home. How would Susan, who is helpless in this situation, manage it? The character whose aid she accepts drives the storyline of the movie.

Plus Points:

The basic visuals of the movie are done well. The scene is wonderfully lit and gives the viewer a tight sense, despite just taking place in two rooms. The scenes where the spirit leaves the body have been well-represented, and the build-up to the climax has been handled appropriately. In her crucial role, the actress who played Anna performed a good job.

The movie has depth because to Anupam Kher's portrayal of the priest. Vinay Rai performed admirably for his small part. Despite Satyaraj's niceness, the latter part of the film has a lot of ham. Nayanthara performed a respectable job in the film. She is the only reason the movie is watchable, despite the fact that she doesn't get many chances to show off her talent.

Minus Points:

What new idea Vignesh Shivan stumbled upon while developing the movie's concept is unknown. Since she was a little child, she has witnessed the evil spirit entering a girl's body and the priest saving the girl.

There are a ton of logical issues in the film. Nothing in the movie fully explains the past of the girl who wants to talk to her father's spirit, whose ghost actually lives inside of her body. It looks like a short film that has been slightly extended.

The emotional depth of the relationships is seriously lacking. The mother who is distressed because her daughter is suffering has not received adequate attention. With the exception of a few thrills, the film doesn't provide anything novel.

Technical Aspects:

Since just two rooms were used for filming, the camerawork had to be top-notch, which it is. The BGM could have used some more punch. Excellent work was put into the Telugu dubbing as well as the production quality.

Verdict:

Overall, Nayanthara's Connect is an uninspired horror movie with mediocre acting. The spectacular conclusion is made tolerable for the viewers by Nayanthara. This movie is a dull pick for this weekend since the narration, the rest of the tale, and the thrills all uninspiring.
