The Portofino M will no longer be the base drop-top model for the 2019 Ferrari Roma Spider.
Ferrari will introduce the Roma Spider at some point in 2019. The new Ferrari Roma Spider will take the place of the Portofino M as the entry-level drop-top.
The Ferrari Roma Spider, which will have the same drivetrain as the coupe, will be the first Ferrari SUV unveiled on September 13.
Ferrari has reportedly begun testing the Roma Spider, and aside from a slightly altered back and a changed roofline, the convertible will mirror the coupe. The Roma Spider will continue to use the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 620 horsepower and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission because little is expected to change underneath the shell.
However, the Spider's performance and handling will be slightly lessened in comparison to the coupe due to the weight of the folding top mechanism and greater chassis bracing. To compensate for the rigidity loss experienced in convertibles, this is required.
The weight penalty would be more noticeable if Maranello opts have a folding hard top (instead of a very light cloth), like the Portofino and the California did before it. Despite a significant upgrade in the revised Portofino M, the Portofino was still one of the less dynamically sophisticated Ferraris in recent memory.
Even while the Ferrari Roma Spider won't be unveiled for a while, on September 13, 2022, the company's first SUV, the Purosangue, will.
Bentley has introduced the new Flying Spur Speed, a more potent version of the company's luxury sedan. It replaces the standard W12-powered Flying Spur, whose production ended in May 2017, and sits above the Flying Spur S with a V8 engine.
Additionally, the Speed tag is now back in the Flying Spur portfolio following a generational hiatus. It differs from the typical model in terms of both design and technical aspects.
According to our sources, the new SUV is already undergoing testing and will include, among other enhancements, a completely new fascia with sharper aesthetics and a restyled bumper. The model has undergone an aesthetic change in response to Volkswagen design chief Jozef Kaban's declaration that the business will move towards a friendlier design approach, producing more vehicles that "smile." The Volkswagen ID Buzz marked the beginning of a new design era for the German carmaker in this regard.
The new Tiguan's longer wheelbase than the outgoing model, which would boost cabin space, is a positive development.
