This blog is dedicated to all my fellow moon lovers, for us, the moon is not just a thing of nature that exists, for us it is like our lover. We feel so many emotions just looking at it, it makes us smile, makes us feel shy, somedays even gives us a tear or two, but mostly it reminds us of someone, someone we love.
The moon makes us feel shy when we are busy with something and suddenly catch a glimpse of it, it's as if the moon has been there just staring at us lovingly. Besides changing the shapes, it also keeps changing colors, some days it's cream, some days it's grey, some days it's huge and golden, and, on some days it is red and beautiful. All its colors make us fall more and more for it.
On those sleepless nights, just staring at it gives the satisfaction of being complete. Its beauty takes away the pain. But on moonless nights, it can be heartbreaking. I personify the different shapes of the moon with different aspects of a person. It is just as a person changes every day (his/her nature, personality, and attitude), so does the moon shows us its different shapes and colors every day.
As children, most of us would have found the moon following us around at night quite amusing. Now I find it staring at me lovingly, sometimes I even try to figure out its eyes and its lips in a smile. It is like the lover far away and yet we can see it every day, giving me hope to meet him one day. Hope, it lets me cling to it and lets me wish for more.
Admiring the moon is just like admiring your lover, it is a ritual I am not willing to give up. The moon is my remembrance for someone far away and yet so close, a part of me. Nights are very precious for us moon lovers for it is the time we unite with our beloved.
Talking about one of my fellow moon lovers, my best friend ‘Anji’, we adore the moon. After we became close, she made me realize the beauty of the moon in many ways which even she won't realize.
The blog has come out to be a poetic one. Why not? After all, it is about one of the most beautiful things to have existed.
