A very big hug to everyone who showered so much love and appreciation on my last blog, that was apparently my first ‘Listicle’ here. So I have decided to make this whole week a ‘Listicle Week’! I will be publishing 3 listicles this week, those will be the compilation of some of my Top 5's.
I am a big ‘Momo’ lover, I can survive on them totally. Evidently, today I will compile my favorite places to have momos in Delhi, to be more specific the area covered is southwest Delhi. These are my personal favorite, and if you are a fan of tandoori or afghani momos, then my friend you are at the right place. And trust me when I say I have tried a great variety of momos ranging from high-end restaurants to small vendors but there is nothing like desi momos.
2. A block, Janakpuri: It is a very small shop under a tree but its mouth-watering momos will leave you craving for more. Here, the momos are small than their actual size but filled with a generous amount of great filling. Afghani momos are a must-have here. Also, this place is very pocket friendly.
3. Tilak Nagar (just outside Manmohan bakery): This small momo vendor has recently started selling crispy kurkure momos and uffff, the crunch speaks for itself. Great in taste with an amazing filling, the taste will make sure the person visits again. Their steamed momos are also a thumbs up. The nearest metro station to reach this place is Tilak Nagar station. It is super affordable and extremely tasty.
4. D block, Janakpuri (Supermarket) : The shop by the name of ‘Punjabiyaa di chaap’ which is very famous for its chaap. But shhhhh, its secret that only a few know that they sell the best tandoori momos. Undoubtedly spicy and cooked in the real tandoor, these momos are heaven for spicy eaters. This shop usually starts its business from 5 in the evening and by 7 they are sold out on momos.
5. Prem Chinese corner, C4e market, Janakpuri: This is very well-known place when it comes to momos. They offer a variety of momos to choose from such as tandoori, afghani, gravy, schezwan, fried, and many more. But personally, I prefer tandoori momos here. The prices are quite pocket-friendly.
These places are no high-end restaurants or anything, they consist of all the desi places because that's how I prefer my momos to be. Do visit these if you can because they are all finger-licking good! Do share with me your experiences and valuable feedback in the comments.
