I am writing this blog from under a hut, with slight drizzling and the very cold breeze flowing, everything making me feel alive every moment. I feel it's heaven, with clouds rushing here and there, it is totally a fairytale. I am in Kandaghat, a place near Shimla, a place which is also called god's land.
This place is very remotely populated and has very few people in the name of tourists. It is totally untouched by humans and indeed the land of gods.
We have come on a very much awaited vacation with the whole family, for the very first time. It is the first time we are traveling out of town after the second wave, with all the precautions and vaccination of course. Some might say it's careless, but I would say it's peaceful.
As planned we visited the mall of Shimla today, but it's very densely full of tourists, hence, unfortunately, could not see the very famous 'Jaakhu temple'.
We are residing in the Club Mahindra resort, this resort itself is so mesmerizing. This place is huge and very beautifully built. They have all sorts of activities here such as paintball, trampoline, zip line, electric cycling and so many indoor games. We are treated to yoga sessions in the morning, folk dances in the noon followed by karaoke sessions in the evening.
I am shivering while writing this (it's cold and raining), but the view is worth it. The best part is, we get to see the sparrows which are now a rare sight in the big cities. Being so close to nature makes us introspect. I too was very overwhelmed by the clouds flowing around us in the mountains.
The beauty (read it as the mountains) made me introspect and realize many things, one of which is me becoming a better version of myself. The feel of this place is incomparable.
I am aware of the fact that this blog is me blabbering more and more but I had to write about this place, and my words do no justice to its beauty. One day when all the covid thing is over, do visit if you can during the monsoon. The night sky is totally a different thing! The stars here tell a different story.
This place is true “A THING OF BEAUTY IS JOY FOREVER”, in the lines of John Keats.
