I am very disturbed since few weeks. News of Rape and sexual assault are so frequently heard. When I read such news I feel so angry and I feel so bad. Today's blog is all about why rape and sexual assault happening in India! and what can we do to stop it? I have heard from so many women that, Bachpan mein ek baar to sexual abuse or sexual intention se kisi na kisi mard ne unko touch kiya hai… This made me feel so ashamed about all the men.
What happened has happened, I feel that rape and sexual abuse/assault happen due to lack of sex education and orthodox concept of Indian society that women is object not Person. We have to teach our children that women is person and not object. If we have to teach our children then first of all we have to behave like that because children learn what they see. Action Speaks Louder than Words.
If we start teaching our children now, it will reflect in their behavior when they will reach their adult life. Sanskar is what We indians are so proud of but We have behave like that. We have to understand how we treat women at home like that way we have to treat them outside. In this 21st century women don't need approval from men, what they need is freedom like men, which is very difficult to obtain. Let's understand one more thing treating women with respect and teasing or eve teasing doesn't count as respect. When we talk in our groups at that time also we have to talk about women respectively.'
Things which can decrease sexual assaults according to my point of view
If we try to change our mindset about women then only we will help our future women generation to feel safe and free.
