 A GROUP of my friends were excitedly discussing how men are superior to females in every field. The group zeroed down that men are superior to women in every fields including the female bastions like Gynaecology and cooking by being the leading gynaecologists and best chef in the world. 

I was listening to their discussion from a distance. Being not involved in the active discussion, my grey cells were activated and I started analyzing, are men really superior in all the fields? If so then what must be the reason behind it? It is medically proved that the fair sex shows more tenacity over men while overcoming any pathology. Then why as it seen that men are leading over women in most of the fields? 

Since ages women have been projected as a faithful wife, loving mother, affectionate sister and also a caring home maker. In earlier days barring a few exceptions women are restricted to house hold work, begetting and upbringing the children. 

                            But the situation has changed. with rising costs women were compelled to leave their respective homes and work, either to fulfill the basic financial needs of the family or to enjoy a quality life by the family. Resultantly women are seen working shoulder to shoulder with men in all the fields be it the medical profession or engineering, teaching, scientists, armed forces, politics etc. 

But has it relieved them of the household work or upbringing of the children? Except in few cases the answer is no. The working wives or the ladies have to complete the domestic work like cooking, preparing and sending the kids to school or college, planning of their tiffin boxes, planning for the dinner as she would find no time for it after the office work, readying herself for the office and then leave the home for her job.

The society excepts the working wife to be at the beside if her child or husband or if anyone in the family falls sick. She has to compulsorily attend all the school functions of the children while managing her duties at the work place and she also fulfills her expectations from the society with a smile on her face. But is she rewarded for such a multitasking? 

Unfortunately the answer is no. Neither on the family front nor at the workplace. On the contrary she is held responsible for failure of the kids on any front. The society without any hesitation point it's fingers on the poor lady even if the husband astray from his ascending career graph. In some cases only she is blamed when her better half stumbles on the morality track.

             Inspite of all these hurdles we find women excelling in every field. So rather than marking a mockery of the opposite sex men should appreciate that inspite of the tremendous struggle, women are marching ahead and it is not far away that women will be on the top in every filed. 

So we should salute and bow in front of the women for their multitasking and tremendous stamina to overcome all the odds. May we wish them a struggle free ride in future.
