Once there lived a sculptor named Mohan in a village.

Mohan used to make very beautiful sculptures.

People from all the surrounding villages used to come to Mohan to get idols made.

One day Mohan was working outside his house to make idols when some people of the village come there.

One of them said, "How are you, listen brother, we have to establish an idol of Ganesh ji in our village and for that a beautiful idol of Ganesh ji is needed. ,

Mohan says “Yes yes why not, but I will take atleast a week for the idol of Ganesh ji. ,

The man says, "Take 10 days for a week, but the idol should be absolutely beautiful." ,

Mohan says, "Yes, of course, don't worry, I will make such an idol that all the villagers will be left to see." ,

The people of the village said, "Okay Mohan, we will come after a week to collect the idol." ,

Mohan goes behind his house where he had collected a lot of stones to make the idol. Chooses two strong stones from among them to make the idol.

Mohan comes in front of his house with the stone, where he used to make idols.

To break the stone, he brings a sieve and a hammer, as soon as he is about to break the stone, suddenly a sound starts coming from the stone.

The stone cried loudly and said "don't kill me".

Mohan looks around but does not see anyone, he starts breaking stones again.

The stone says again, "No no no don't hit me, I'm afraid of this hammer and I can't bear the wounds of this hammer." ,

Mohan is thinking, Manan started thinking, "This stone turned out to be very intimidating, it is of no use to me. ,

Mohan puts that stone in the side and starts his work by taking another stone Mohan starts breaking the other stone too but he silently bears his wounds.

Now the stone kept in the side started enjoying and she snatched the other stone and seeing it hitting with the hammer, he said, "Why brother is enjoying it, if it is hurting, then tell the sculptor, he will leave you too." ,

That poor stone does not say anything and keeps on suffering hammer wounds and within a few days Mohan makes a beautiful idol out of that stone.

After a few days the people of the village come to collect the idol.

One of them would say to Mohan, “Mohan Bhai, is the idol ready. ,

Mohan also says with great love, "Yes, the idol is ready." ,

The people of the village who came to collect the idol started applauding after seeing that idol.

The people of the village standing there started saying to Mohan, "Oh wow, you have made a very beautiful idol. 

The people of the village liked the idol but they needed another stone, they asked Mohan, "Brother, we will need another stone, can we get a stone to break the coconut? 

Mohan said, "Yes, definitely take this, I don't need it anymore." ,

Mohan hands over the cowardly stone and the idol of Ganesha to the villagers.

People move towards the temple with that stone and idol.

After some time, a crowd of devotees gathered outside the temple as soon as the idol was installed in the temple.

Gradually, all the people of the village started coming to the temple to worship Ganesh ji and started offering pedas and laddus as prasad and started breaking coconut on another stone brought from Mohan.

The idol of Ganesh ji asked a timid stone, "Why are you having fun brother? ,

The timid stone became sad and said, "It is fun, you are getting pede modak to eat and everyone is joining hands in front of you, are coconuts being broken on me. 

The idol of Ganesh ji says, "Look, if you had suffered a little wound that day, you would have been in my place today. ,
