Many people forget to take care of their mental health as well as their physical health. Especially during this Covid period. Mental stress is one of the leading causes of suicide today.
If internal or external problems affect the functioning of the body and mind, it can be called stress. Tension in life is good to an extent. It helps us to deal with problems and improve our performance. But when the tension crosses a threshold it becomes devastating.
Majority of people have a way of beating the tension of need and needlessness. An increasing number of people are experiencing tension due to touching and holding.
The three depravities of Ayurveda are rheumatism, bile and phlegm. Blood flow in the body is disrupted when summers occur. It also detoxifies every mineral in the body. The causes of stress can be broadly classified into three categories
1. Daily Stresses - Stressors that arise through each of the situations we encounter in our daily lives, such as problems at work and problems at work.
2. Long-term causes - These are problems that plague a person for a long time. That is, the financial crisis, and the changing diseases.
3. Accidental Causes - These include events that cause a sudden change in lifestyle. I.e. death of friends and unexpected failure in exams.
In the past, parents would find time to tell their children stories. But today children are being pushed into stress. Because the study load increases. They are putting too much pressure on them to learn. Similarly, parents experience more tension than their children. Thus we unknowingly create pressures.
These problems can only be solved by open talking. It requires an open mind to listen to the concerns of others. In doing so, we share our work with others. You can have a life without tension if you have a mind to give up on each other.
Tension can be avoided to some extent if you plan ahead in your daily life. Reading, writing, listening to music, engaging in hobbies, and having an open mind can help keep tension at bay.
The foods we eat affect our thoughts. In Ayurveda, food is divided into three main categories. Satvikam, Rajasam, Tamasam. Satvikaharas are hearty, crunchy and emphasize the strength of the body. Foods that are high in fat, salt, and tamarind are royal.
Old, tasty and cold foods stay. People who eat a lot of spicy and sour foods are found to get angry quickly. Similarly, vegetarians are found to be calm. Be sure to include fibrous vegetables and fruits in your diet.
Yoga and meditation can alleviate stress and give you the confidence to face problems. There is no benefit in doing yoga and meditation occasionally as an offering. Make sure you do this every day. Giving children a yoga class at the school level can change their inner tension and make them more focused on learning.
Through social service, it is easy to convey the need for yoga and meditation to others. Only a healthy generation can be molded by conducting classes at the panchayat level and getting people to participate in it. Because mental problems can lead to physical problems.
