There is an increase in cyber attack rates in the recent few years. Approximately an average of 64 %  of companies have experienced at least one form of cyber-attack worldwide as revealed this year. Around 30,000 websites are hacked daily. There are advantages and challenges of AI with machine learning in cybersecurity. The main aim is to determine, later relate to use, and forecast the patterns of future conditions. AI has gained a lot of importance, and some of the main applications include speech recognition, machine vision, natural language processing, etc. The security systems involved with the combined technologies both AI and cybersecurity are classified mainly into two scenarios: 

1. Closed set re-identification scenario: The system already knows the previous data which can be used for learning and predicting unknown objects and detecting already recognized ones.
2. Open set re-identification scenario: In this type of scenario, the system must learn the patterns hidden in the information stored or analyzed and used for identifying the future new sets that will be arrived.

Benefits of AI in cybersecurity

Some of the leverage of AI in cybersecurity are worth implementing and investing in, the benefits are listed below:

1. AI helps to learn continuously: AI enhances its ability to understand cyber threats and cyber risks by consuming billions of data antiques.
2. Threats can be found faster using AI reasoning: Threats like malicious files, suspicious IP addresses, or any other files which are non-relevant are related and analyzed well using AI within no minute or seconds. 
3. The time-consuming tasks can be eliminated using AI: It helps to reduce the security analysts in making critical decisions and provide remedies for threats as well as carefully organize the risk analysis.

Other advantages include better authentication, endpoint protection, large data handling, identifying hardware faults as well, etc.

Disadvantages of AI in cybersecurity

It is tough to understand AI and how it works. It requires a lot of time to build a full-fledged AI system and needs lots of resources. It needs much of the human side assistance. AI can deliver incorrect decisions and not true positive information if tremendous data and events are not provided.

Implementing AI and cybersecurity surely enhances security solutions for organizations. Some of the MNCs like Jupiter Networks, IBM, and Google are earlier adopters of these hybrid technologies. To avoid the cost of the data breach AI is used, and also hacks and cyber attacks can be reduced to a greater extent. AI is not only used for security purposes but also for business purposes in organizations which can save time and reduce costs. It can be also useful in applications like surveillance and biometrics. Some researchers are making AI-based security more reliable, automated, and robust, deployable to deal with future challenges.
