I never thought of writing in hindi before, but suddenly this is my next favourite thing. I literally had no idea that I can, unless I started expressing myself oneday. I thought, "ya, why not!". 

This is my initial work on a hindi poetry and it turned out pretty well. A lot of people appreciated this poetry as it was "relatable" for them, and that gave me a kind of confidence that I was missing in my early days.

कुछ तो है, जो मिला नहीं

कुछ तो है, जो पाना नहीं

लेकिन... नजाने क्या है उनमें ऐसा,

के उनके बिना एक पल भी हमें जीना नहीं!

ख़याल आए तो आए भी क्या?

मेरा तो वक़्त भी उनके हाथ...

आंखें क्यों नम, मेरे होठो प वो गम;

खुश रहना भी जैसे एक सजा...

नजाने क्या है उनमें ऐसा!

जो कल साथ थे वो आज साथ नहीं....

मुझे कभी प्यार करने वालें, आज मैं उन्हें याद नहीं!

सच कहते थे लोग,

खुद को यूँ न तोड़

ये प्यार भी धोखेबाज़ों से कम नहीं!

कहने को तो किताबें उनके,

लेखक वो बने,

और हम..?

उनके छोड़े गए वो पन्ने...

जो लोगों में यूं ही बिक गए!

लेकिन हम भी तोह उनसे कम नहीं

उनके बिना हमनें भी तो जीना छोरा नहीं!

यूँ तो एक एहसास है

प्यार में आज भी कुछ तो ख़ास है...

हाँ, गम में लपेटे खुशियों की बारिश,

मन तो है कुछ यादों को समेटने की ख्वाहिश...

पर नाजाने क्या है उनमें ऐसा,

के उनके बिना आज भी हमें जीना नहीं!

Insight:

This poetry emphasises on "incompleteness" and the desire to feel complete. The feeling of love is unconditional and heavy. So when you fall for someone deeply and give your heart and soul to that person, it is merely impossible to walk away from that feeling. I call it "Passion". 

But we must understand that the feeling of love is completely different from the way we interpret and expect it to be. Relationship is a foundation of trust, loyalty, faith and compatibility. Falling in love can't be systematic, we discover ourselves with time and that decides the "relationship" with someone we have strong feelings for. So, inspite of all the odds, we still feel a sense of love for someone who caused us pain. It's not like we can't move on, but the memories attached to the pain inside, instigates that fuel of hope to burn the reality into compassion.

The pain inside our heart is difficult to cope with. But we need to, in order to survive further and for that acceptance is the key. The reality is, sometimes people change and so does their feelings for us but that doesn't make any of us weak. Instead, if you have the strength to forgive and let go of something never really meant for you or even if you love a little more and let them be free, then that's your part of victory. A new chapter of love and hugs for yourself, that you did.
