Accepting the reality of your life sounds like it should be easy enough. But many, many people hold to their own version ofreality. ... There are few better things you can do for yourself than giving up the fictional version of your life and learning to accept yourself, your life, and yourreality.

Acknowledging your reality equates to having self-awareness. It is a big part of happiness because when you lack it, you are fighting against where you actually are in your life. You have to own your situation, because when you don't, you cannot make effective change. And then you have to embrace it.

Acceptance starts with perceiving reality as it is right now: what people are rather than what you want them to be, situations that you cannot control.

You might not like the life you are living now. But, you are a blessed one, and you should probably be happy about it.

You are living in your comfort zone, having an active internet connection, food to eat, TV to watch and a roof to sleep under.

Do remember that even if you have only these four basic amenities, you are richer than 75% of the world’s population. Be happy for what you, but don’t settle for it.

The world is progressing rapidly, and you’ll be left behind if you are entirely content with what you’ve got now.

Make sure you know how to draw a line between being greedy and ascetic.

Here are my personal steps to cope with badsituations and create something good out of them:

  1. Release your frustrations. ...
  2. Realize you are not alone. ...
  3. Being frustrated isn't going to solve anything. ...
  4. Know you always have a choice. ...
  5. Objectify it. ...
  6. Focus on what you can do. ...
  7. Ask for help if you need to.

 

4# Expectations always hurt

Expectations hurt, Period. Life was meant to be lived freely not with full of unrealistic expectations.

If you desire/expect something, make sure that you work hard enough to turn that into a reality sooner or later all by yourself.

Never expect anything out of someone.

You can expect things from only one person, on the whole, earth, and it is – YOU!

 

Stop spending time with the wrong people.

Things You Should Totally Stop Doing In Your Twenties

Life is too short to spend with people who suck your energy and happiness. If someone wants you in his/her life, s/he will make room for you. You should not fight for a place. Never ever insist someone who is passing you by. Remember that true friends are not those who stay with you in good times, but those who remain in the worst situations.
