Famous Hill Stations:
The Nilgiris- called Ooty is famously known as the “ Queen of Hills”, there are plenty of places to visit among them the famous sites are Avalanche Lake, Emerald Lake, Botanical garden, Ooty boat house, Rose garden, Nool Ponga, Pykara waterfalls and Doddabetta peak.
Don't miss to travel on the Nilgiri's Toy Train, this oldest mountain train gives you a good experience.
Yelagiri - this beautiful hill station is known for its pleasant climate and the camp stay along with your friends or family will give you a good and memorable vacation stay.
Kodaikanal - is also called “Princess of Hills”, the best places to visit are Bryant Park, Bear Shola waterfalls, Kodaikanal Lake, Silver falls and Pillar rocks.
Valparai - is a beautiful place for a leisure stay, travelling to Valparai on the hairpin bend roads gives a good experience. If you like travelling on the forest roads then plan a trip to chalakudy from Valparai.

Mukurthi National Park- this national park is also situated near Ooty, have a visit while visiting Nilgiris.

Point Claimere Wildlife Sanctuary - Situated near Tanjore.
Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve- Situated near Tirunelvelli.
Koonthakulam Bird Sanctuary- Situated near Tirunelvelli.
Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary- Situated near Mamallapuram.

Mahabalipuram: it is also called Mamalapuram , located on the Coromandel Coast; this was the port city of Pallava Kings.The rock cut cave temples and sculptures are the majestic asset of this beautiful place, which you should not forget to visit and enjoy.
Pilgrimage place:
Velankani Basilica: This world famous church is popularly known as “Lourdes of the East” was first built by Portuguese sailors as a thatched chapel in the 16th century, who got into a violent storm and were saved by Mother Mary. This church is located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal.
Thanjai Periya Kovil: This 1000 year old temple was built by the Great king Raja Raja Chola, the Nandhi statue at the entrance was carved out of a single rock. This is the world heritage site of UNESCO.
Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple: It is known for its grand halls and sculptures.The museum at the elegant 1000 pillar mandapam has paintings, idols, carved tusks and antique coins.
