The 19th match of the IPL 2021 season is being played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.  Batting first after winning the toss, the Chennai team has scored 110+ runs after losing 3 wickets.  Ambati Rayudu is currently at the crease.  Duplessis placed the 18th Fifty in the league.  This is his second consecutive fifty.  In the last match against KKR, he had scored an innings of 95 runs.

Raina has hit 200 sixes in the IPL.  He achieved this position with a six off Chahal's ball in the 10th over.  Raina is the fourth Indian to do so.  Earlier Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have achieved this position.  Raina Overaller is the 7th batsman to complete 200 sixes in the league.

Gaikwad gave the team a good start

Rituraj Gaikwad was out for 33 off 25 balls.  He was caught by Yuzvendra Chahal in the hands of Kyle Jameson.  Rituraj had a 74-run opening partnership with Duplessis.  This was the second consecutive 50+ run partnership between the two.  Earlier, Rituraj and Duplessis had shared a 115-run partnership against Kolkata in the previous match.

Chennai and Bengaluru made 2–2 changes to the team

This is the first time in Wankhede that a team won the toss in a day game and decided to bat first.  Dhoni made two changes in the team.  Dwayne Bravo and Imran Tahir were included in the squad, replacing Moin Ali and Lungi Ngidi.  This is Tahir's first match of the season.  Whereas, RCB captain Virat Kohli replaced Daniel Christian and Navdeep Saini in the squad, replacing Kane Richardson and Shahbaz Ahmed.
