Need a Hindu Charitable Trust?

Most of the lands and properties given for the maintenance of the temple are not used for the purpose of the temple and are being misused.

For each temple in ancient times and even later several thousands of acres of land were earmarked for maintenance.

That is, the lease money of the donated lands can be used to maintain and renovate the temple and perform Kumbabhishekam.

However, after the Hindu religious endowment department came under control, the income of the temple was given to the temple and the rest of the funds were taken by the government.

So much government exploitation
The rent of places near the temples is exploited by paying the lowest rates to those in the know.

A lower fee would be ₹1,500, ₹2,000 as rent for a place worth ₹20,000.

Due to such low rents, many crores of Tamil Nadu is still uncollected.

The money owed to the famous Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple in Chennai has flowed into crores.

Lands are leased at very low rates, for as little money as above rents.

Many people have been enjoying it for generations.

Hundreds of acres of temple sites have been looted, i.e. transferred to other people's names.

If the minimum annual lease payment is ₹10,000 for several thousand acres, calculate how much you can get per year!

Apart from these, the temple rent income is separate.

So much income is misused or exploited.

If we go deeper and gather details, can this even be atrocious? It can be known that exploitation has taken place to the extent that it is considered that.

Salary
Temple priests are not paid fair wages. There are still (*2021) people earning ₹2,000, ₹3,000 per month.

Although the salary is low in the crowded temples, they get income from offerings.

But the condition of those who work in temples without congregation is very pathetic. Their number is more in Tamil Nadu.

It is sad that the wages paid to the employees of this department are not fairly paid to the temple employees.

It is a big stupidity that the government is spending a lot of money saying that I will take care of those who want to go to justice.

To top it all off, those who maintain this department are paid several times more than the temple staff, with lots of perks!

To be continued…part 2
