First Freedom Fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a political dissident who opposed the British East India Company 1846 when around 5000 workers challenged the British in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh

Reddy was the Governor in Military of Rayalaseema. He told 66 towns including Kadapa, Anantpur, Kurnool, and so on.

After the British caught the area of Rayalaseema, Narasimha had wouldn't share the pay delivered from this area.

To overcome the British, he had upheld military tasks and to do as such, he turned to the intermediary wars.

On 10 June 1846, he went after the depository of Koilkuntla and moved to Cumbum.

He rebelled against the organization in the wake of killing an officer, Rudraram. The area gatherer treated the revolt in a serious way and requested Watson (an official) to capture Narasimha Reddy. In any case, Watson neglected to capture Reddy and the British Government announced Rs. 5000 for a tip of Reddy and Rs. 10,000 for his head.

On 23 July 1846, he, alongside his military, went after the British Army in Giddalur and took off. To capture Narasimha Reddy, the British Army caught his family in Kadapa.

To get his family free, he moved to Nallamala Forest. Whenever the British came to realize that he was concealed in the timberland, they fortify their activity around the woods because of which Narasimha Reddy returned to Koilkuntla.

Whenever British authorities came to be familiar with the whereabouts of Narasimha Reddy, they attacked the region totally and on 6 October 1846, Narasimha Reddy was captured at 12 PM.

In the wake of being captured, he was thrashed hard and restricted with thick chains. From there on, he, worn in ridiculous garments, was taken to roads of Koilkuntla so no one could set out to rebel against the British organization.

Aside from Narasimha Reddy, 901 individuals were blamed for scheming against the British. Afterward, 412 individuals were absolved, 273 individuals were delivered on bail, and 112 individuals were guilty parties and confronted life detainment.

Narasimha Reddy was accused of homicide and conspiracy. He was condemned to death.

Following a month and a half of his capture, on 22 February 1847, he was hanged openly in Koilkuntala at 7 a.m. Around 2000 individuals assembled to see his hanging.
