I was writing this blog to make the new parents and those who are planning for kids understand few things.
Firstly be STRONGLY prepare before planning kids, life won't be same as before after kids arrive. If you have anything to be fulfilled or any plans of adventure trips etc pls do it before, with kids you can't even plan to temple “easily”.
If you qualify for the above, then you need to learn SACRIFICING few things you like. My eg: I sacrificed my sleep, I look after my kid whole day and go to office in night shift because my wife works in the morning.
Now with above 2 point, your are 10-15% ready.
Improve PATIENCE, yes what you read is right, Parenting is all about patience. ( Doesn't work all the time but need to be patience with 0-5 year kids).
Never expect ANY HELP from anyone, even from parents. It's your kids your problem try to figure out at any cost before it becomes shit.
With above all you are 40% ready.
Change your SPENDING habits. (If you are salaried, paying rent and left with very minimum amount). Having Money Handy is very important if you have a baby, because kids depend on everything hence gets injured easily with everything.
If you haven't SAVED a penny yet, then start saving for your kid now today, even 500 rps per month can yield good amount when kid grows up.
Kids without any intention they give a very bad space between parents it can be because of work stress, looking after kids one after the other etc, even though you love each other you guys get a gap between both and it leads to frustration. So make your time when your kid sleeps. ( 100% I can say it won't be same as before but holding each other feels good).
Know few things about parenting as it can give little confidence in certain situations.
With all the above you are only 70% qualified and 30% I give for uncertainties and little deviations from my points mentioned above. One thing is clear parenting is not about kids it's all about parents so do not blame your kids for anything it's you who need to change.
Note: This is all from my experiences I am currently facing and gone through. I am trying to improve a lot from day 0 to till date.
