My husband and I will discipline together, but our other roles and responsibilities may differ. I want if we both have flexible jobs, so we can contribute when the kids are sick, play with them after work, or be available to accompany them on school trips. I want both of us to take care of the home that God has given us. If he wants to take care of our house mowing the lawn while I do the laundry, then I will do my best to respect and appreciate his act of service, because I know it is God. He is the center of my life, and I will do my best to always serve Him and pay attention to His Holy Word. His Word told me not to be under the yoke of inequality, so my husband should love Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him, just like me. My husband will not be perfect, or a saint, but he will love Jesus and desire to love me and raise a Jesus-centered family. We will be able to deal with spiritual and religious issues because our personal opinions will not matter in the light of Jesus. We will both believe the Bible and listen to its words. The Lord has made it very clear his opinion on every problem my husband and I may have. So we will resolve our disagreements by going to God's Word to find our answers. Our love for Jesus will make us eager to go to church on Sunday, ready to make the sacrifices necessary to pay our tithing, and will keep us that way as long as we seek the living God. Marriage lasts far beyond sparkling diamonds , engagement photos and honeymoons. Marriage comes with responsibilities, arguments, children, traditions, finances, and other families.
