A teddy bear is a kind of toy that resembles a bear. Teddy bears are usually teddy bears or cubs.In Russia, bears were used as children's toys for many years before becoming popular in the United States. Teddy bears in Russia have been the subject of stories or folktales for many years. Teddy bears are usually children's toys, they are also used to comfort people and also to teach.

Teddy bear
Teddy bear is a popular and well known toy. It can often have human characteristics. They are usually small and soft. Teddy bears are found all over the world. In the early 20th century, teddy bears were made from goat hair. Now they are usually made from synthetic fabrics.

There are many stories about how the teddy bear got its name. It may be a myth, but the teddy bear is said to be named after Theodore Roosevelt, a hunter who disliked being called "Teddy." Roosevelt was the 26th and youngest president of the United States. He was president from 1901 to 1909.  The president's friends gave him the nickname "Teddy".

The most told story happened in November 1902. President Roosevelt was in Mississippi on a bear hunt. He and the other men hunted bears on horseback. The president and the men had hunting dogs to help find the bears. The dogs ran after the smell of the bears. When the men could no longer hear the dogs, they turned around and returned to their camp. When they got to the camp, a bear was already there. Everyone in the camp wanted President Roosevelt to shoot the bear. He won't or let anyone else.

British soldiers during World War I wore fur coats they called Teddys. American soldiers also wear a one-piece fur suit they call a teddy. Women's nightgowns are also nicknamed "Teddy" because they are so comfortable.

The teddy bear has been the mascot and companion of many adults. Olympic long jump gold medalist Randy Wililams in 1972 poses for Life magazine with a teddy bear at the games in Munich.  The bear was given to him by an ex-girlfriend.

While playing baseball with the San Francisco Giants, Ron Bryant was nicknamed "The Bear" for carrying his teddy bear everywhere. After playing for the Giants, he was transferred to the Chicago Cubs. While playing with the Cubs, Bryant bought a bear from a girl on the street.  He brought the bear to the game and they won that day. Then he brought his bear to join all the games. The teddy bear is even dressed in a baseball uniform with Bryant's number on it.

"Darling Teddies"
Adults often collect "Darling Teddies". These are figurines of teddy bears. They are considered sundries. Each mold is produced in limited quantities only. Some are rarer or less common than others. The less specific they are, the more valuable they are.

TY Beanie Baby
Beanie Baby is one of the most popular species in the Beanie Baby collection. The bear "Princess Diana" pays tribute to the late Princess of Wales. Her bear is royal purple with two flowers on the heart. You can purchase bear accessories like Princess Di's real license replica, crown and royal robe to upgrade the royal bear. Some bears that are defective in production are considered to be of the highest value, as quantities are limited. Collectors seek out detectives for the rarest collection.
