Job is a very important part of your life and building your career. Everyone has their own perspective and aspiration towards the type of career we want to create. Some of us want to work for living, some for experience, some for passing the time , some to create a base and so on. No wonder reason could be anything but all you should cherish is the learnings from it good or bad. We all pursue education in order to be qualified enough to get a job and be educated. But at times we lack the type of behavior we are supposed to have at work especially at our first job.
As soon as we pass out of college we are still in a very friendly, immature and casual zone so because of that at times we fail to understand the seriousness of the situations and the responsibilities. There are certain major factors that would really help us in our corporate life -
ALWAY BE PUNCTUAL ABOUT EVERYTHING
BE PROFESSIONAL
DON'T BE OVER FRIENDLY WITH COLLEGUES AND BOSS
DON'T BE TOO CONSERVATIVE ALSO,TRY TO BALANCE
BE EFFECTIVE IN WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION
RESPECT DEADLINES
FOLLOW ETHICAL CODE OF CONDUCT
DRESS UP ACCORDINGLY
Overall its all about loving what you are doing whether its a government or a private , full time or part time, freelancer, business, anything what's important is you are having a good and fun time overall. Always be actively aware and concern about your targets and growth in your job. Do not settle for less if you are really working hard. obviously you need to make compromises and sacrifices when it comes to commitment for job and trust it works well for you and gives you good returns as well. Whenever you are facing any problems always follow the hierarchy and discuss it with your seniors and boss. Try and avoid gossiping too much about anyone or anything. Ultimately its a part of your life not your LIFE. Companies gonna come and go, what stays with you is your experience and learnings that will take you ahead. And in case you are not happy with your job you should try and explore what makes you happy and do a proper research for it first before you decide to quit. Never make any decisions too quickly under any influence and impulsively that you regret later. Be confident and there is no age limit for starting anything new whether a job, business or education. Be passionate.
