Personally, I think Christopher Nolan's best work is Interstellar. Perhaps the general public will rate it as seventh in the top 10 space movies at the box office. I like Interstellar because it mostly deals with themes of family love and personal grief. This is a great start! I love how it starts with a farm surrounded by cornfields - humble beginnings. It's much better than superhero movie openings, which usually involve a tense post-apocalyptic battle. The structure of the story is also excellent. When the planet's food begins to run out, Cooper and his crew go into space to find a new home for humanity. He has to say goodbye to his beloved daughter Murph and the rest of his family, which complicates the situation even more. Even though he is only in space for a short time, time seems to go faster as he descends further into the planet. His family also begins to mature at this time. During his journey, Cooper befriends many kind, reliable and loyal people, including two funny booth robots CASE and TARS (often with each other). I remember the Stargate tunnel in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey when they say goodbye to the galaxy and embrace the black hole: the robots and Space Odyssey remind me of monoliths because of their shape. I love the tension created by touching the different surfaces of the planets. Mostly I enjoyed the scene where Cooper finally descends into the Giant Abyss and finds himself alone in this fifth dimension - which initially manifests as a library of flashbacks. . Better not read my review because I don't want to give anything away. For those of you who have seen Interstellar, I just want to say that while I agree that the loss is very terrible, Cooper initially experiences feelings of depression and personal emptiness after saying goodbye to his daughter. However, he soon realizes that his thoughts of the ghost in the bedroom were actually his presence all along. After being sent to another realm, he wakes up to find his daughter Murphy, now an old woman, surrounded by loved ones on her deathbed, just like Professor Brand. With my grandmother Lois currently ill, I find their last moment together quite meaningful. In most cases, the parent dies before the child, but Nolan also contributed a lot to the irony of this film that the child dies first. I, like the rest of the audience, was moved to tears by the words of wisdom old Murph imparts on Cooper at the end. In conclusion, Interstellar works admirably because it tells the story of how we know those we love and who we wouldn't sacrifice for anything, not even a pointless task deemed necessary like saving humanity from global starvation. or find a new home for humanity. Family first. And that's why I love this movie so much..
