All the world‘s a stage ,
And all the men and women merely players ;
They have their exits and their entrances ;
And one man in his time plays many parts ,
His acts being seven ages .
• At the first stage the infant :[infant]
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms ; then the whining school-boy, with his satchel and shining morning face, cheeping like snail unwillingly to school . [ babies whose needs are met develop a feeling of trust for the environment . If infants have frustration and deprivation they learn a basic mistrust for the world that will stick throughout life .
•And then the lover : [adolescent]
Sighing like furnace , with a woeful Ballad made to his mistress eyebrow .[ an adolescent is beginning to think abstractly and can conceptualise his or her self identity and personality ].
• Then a soldier :
Full of strange oaths , and bearded like the pard . Jealous in honour , seeking the bubble reputation.
• And then the justice : [young adult]
In fair round belly with good capon Lin’d , with eyes severe and beard of formal cut , full of wise saws and modern instances , and so he plays his parts . [ A young adult faces the challenge of developing close emotional relationships with others . Here the term intimate doesn’t nena sexuality but social and emotional connections with others . The opposite results , for those who do not develop a sense of intimacy, is to become isolated from social contact ].
• The sixth age shifts : [ Middle Aged adult ]
Into the lean and shifts pantaloon, with spectacles on nose and pouch on side . His youthful hose , well sav‘d , a world too wide . For his shrunk shank ; and his big manly voice , turning again toward childish treble . [ Middle Aged feel an urgency to leave a mark in the world , to generate something of lasting worth . Finding a purpose in life is a central theme . To fail at generating something significant means a person becomes stagnant and stops moving forward , this person may become selfish and self absorbed].
• Last scene of all : [old adult ]
That ends this strange eventful history , is second childishness and mere oblivion ; sans teeth , sans eyes , sans taste , sans everything . [ in old adult , it is common to look back on life and reflect on what was accomplished . People who feel good about what they have done build a sense of integrity . For those whose evaluations are not so good , there is despair ,the feeling of regret and remorse the life they lead].
