Together with others, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and AR Rahman attended the premiere of Ponniyin Selvan 2's trailer and soundtrack.
On March 29, Chennai's Nehru Indoor Stadium played host to the release of the trailer and music for the much anticipated Ponniyin Selvan 2 film, directed by Mani Ratnam. Important members of the epic's cast and crew, including Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and AR Rahman, were present at the ceremony. Megastar Kamal Haasan, who has previously worked with Ratnam, attended the event as a special guest.

"I can't forget Aditya Karikalan, just as he can't forget Nandini. This is one of many roles that I'd love to play in the future. I adored the strength, love, and compassion he possesses. I'm fortunate to play such a role. That's also from a Mani Ratnam film. Even more unique than that. He deserves my gratitude for it. I also want to thank you for giving me the job. From the costume designer to the choreographer, many people contributed to this task. The background music was beautifully composed by Rahman sir. He's surpassed himself. Each time a new song is released, I keep listening to it on repeat, says vikram.

"Following PS, I received a tonne of posts from admirers who were costumed as Kundhavai. I could thank a few, but not the others. Even new-born infants wore costumes of her. Thank you for popularising her. Trisha declares, "Uyir epodhum ungaladayathu thaan."

"He asked me to play Vandhiyathevan while we were filming Kaithi, and I immediately thought of something like Gladiator without knowing what it would be. "Mani sir offered me a movie and believed in me while I was in a difficult condition. When I was younger, I used to hear a lot about people wanting to make the Ponniyin Selvan movie, but after three tries, he finally succeeded, and now he is just sitting around. I perceive Mani Sir as a youngster. Children will take action to obtain their desired object if they so desire. He'll act in that way. He'll get what he wants some way "Simbu says.

"Every three years, people ask me, "When are you going to make a comeback?" Mani Ratnam is asked the same question (smirks). He has been around for 40 years and has introduced the world to our movie. Basically, we're following his lead "AR Rahman explains.

After yelling at Sarathkumar for improperly romancing Aishwarya Rai:
"Aishwarya was in my first scene. I enquire about the lost signet ring at this point. I simply asked her while holding her hand. I was requested to repeat it slowly and lovingly by Mani. He cut the scene when I tried it again and exclaimed, "Sarath, don't you know how to romance?" That, of all things, really hurt me (laughs). "Ask someone who was married twice and in both cases, it was a love marriage," responds Sarathkumar.

Kamal Haasan remembers a line from Kuruthipunal:

"Such a movie cannot be made without anxiety. Fear would have also gripped Mani Ratnam, "Kamal Haasan says. "You know what courage is, it's to pretend that you don't have fear," Kuruthipunal's famous line, "Veeram na enna theriyuma, bayam illatha maari nadikarathu," was added by him. The audience went wild.
