Five components. Have you examined the packaging on a typical kit kat? You would see that their ingredient list is quite long! Which ones? Merely 5.
No baking is necessary. Waiting for them to set is the challenging part of this recipe.
Simple and rapid. Less than five minutes, including hands-on time, and that's being kind.

wholesome. Alright, so perhaps "healthier" would be a better description, but they have no butter and are naturally sweetened.

The thing I adore most about this recipe is how much it tastes like kit kat! You won't ever purchase them from the store again—they're sweet, crispy, and bursting with chocolate flavor!

Five components. Have you examined the packaging on a typical kit kat? You would see Chex cereal, though. the ingredient kept a secret that gives the bars their amazing kit kat texture. Mini vanilla or chocolate wafers are an additional option.
Peanut butter. creamy peanut butter or your preferred nut or seed butter.
Maple syrup. Honey or agave nectar are other options.
Coconut oil. There is no taste of coconut in refined coconut oil. This gives the chocolate an extra creamy texture that makes it simple to bite into.
Hazelnut. Chocolate chips or a chopped chocolate bar would do.
The recipe for a kit kat bar
It only takes one bowl and is incredibly quick and simple to make homemade kit kat bars.

The simplest method to create them is to use a large mixing bowl and your dry cereal. You won't need that until the very end, so put it aside.
Step2: Melt the components.
Locate a sizable saucepan or bowl that is safe to microwave. After adding ALL of the remaining ingredients, heat or microwave them until they melt. Whisk thoroughly.
Step 3: Allow the candy to harden

Lastly, add the melted mixture to the dry cereal and thoroughly stir (with a spatula if necessary) until everything is completely blended. After transferring everything to a square pan with a liner, chill it until it solidifies.

Dietary substitutes and swaps

Swap out the oil with butter. If you have a coconut allergy, you can use the same amount of butter in its place.
Make them devoid of gluten. Use your favorite gluten-free crispy cereal or gluten-free Chex cereal.
Turn them vegetarian. Replace your dairy-based chocolate chips with vegan ones.
Change the peanut butter out. Use cashew or smooth almond butter, or if you'd rather avoid nuts, use tahini or sunflower seed butter.
Include mix-ins. Additions like as chopped nuts, seeds, or even caramel are excellent.

Storage guidelines

These will keep for at least two weeks at room temperature if you choose to store them that way. Just make sure to cover them.

If you'd like to preserve them for a longer period of time, you can keep them in the refrigerator for up to two months.

They can also be stored in the freezer! For up to six months, store leftovers in the freezer in a ziplock bag.
