Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League for the second time. They beat Manchester City 1-0. Chelsea beat English Premier League champions in the final of the English Premier League on Saturday. The victory in front of a large crowd at the Porto Estadio Do Drago Stadium made them happy.

Kai Hawartz scored the winning goal for Chelsea. He led the team with a goal in the 42nd minute. The attack started from the feet of goalkeeper Edward Mendy. Mason Mount extended the goal pass to Hawartz. Chelsea's most expensive footballer Hawartz took the ball and went towards the goal. He pushed the ball over the City goalkeeper with an empty goal. This is his first goal in the Champions League. Chelsea won the Champions League with that goal. Coach Thomas Tuschel also lost with PSG in the final last time. However, this time he left the field with a smile on his face.

But there is another man N'Golo Kante. The France international played a significant role in the Blues’ Champions League triumph and he is being tipped to be crowned as the world’s best. France international and Chelsea star N'Golo Kante deserves to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or. Also, Kante’s solid display against Pep Guardiola’s Citizens fetched him a third successive man of the match award in the competition. With the Stamford Bridge giants’ success still generating attention on social media, fans claim that no player deserves to win the individual accolade than the 30-year-old.

Ex-Blues star Ramires, who left Stamford Bridge during Kante's debut 2016-17 campaign in west London, has told  Mais Futebol "I watch Kante play and there's a movie in my head because I see myself. He plays, he's got a highlight reel, but no one sees him wanting to show up off the field. 

"He's very calm, always quiet. He's an extraordinary player. He's in every corner of the field. In defense, in the middle, in attack, on the sides. He's among the best in the world. The way he's playing is impressive.

"He may turn out to be one of the top three in the world.

"But it's hard for a defensive midfielder to come in and win a Ballon d'Or. It would be deserved, yes [if he won the Champions League and Euro 2020]."

Captain Cesar Azpilicueta was asked post-match if there is anyone better in his position in the world than N'Golo Kante and the Spaniard's answer was emphatic: "It's straightforward - no."

Kante's humbleness is the stuff of legend, we all know this. He still drives a Mini, refused to celebrate with the World Cup trophy until every one of his teammates turned, and is the nicest guy in town.
