Hello friends  in my last blog I was talking about human made resources and human resources and how these resources are different from natural resources. Now since we are heading towards the end of this topic of green skills today we will be talking about non conventional sources of energy. So what do you think are non conventional sources of energy? All the renewable sources of energy such as solar energy ,wind power tidal power etc are known as non conventional sources of energy because they are ubiquitous in  nature and can never get exhausted in contrast to conventional sources So in order to save conventional sources of energy we need to increase the use of non conventional sources of energy and use these sources in such a way that most of our needs are fullfilled.

So as I told you the various examples of non conventional energy resources. Now let us see them one by one so that we can understand them properly.

A. Solar energy

Solar energy is the energy that we get from the Sun. In this process  solar cells are used to convert sunlight into electricity. Countries like India ,Sri Lanka and many regions in Africa have this advantage of getting the maximum benefit of solar energy because here sunlight is available for most part of the year. In India the population in the villages uses this form of energy the most. You can see solar heater  solar panels and many other appliances of solar energy and Indian villages.

B. Wind power

You all must have seen windmills in your life. To generate electricity from help of the wind the Blades of windmill are connected to a generator and when the wind blows these blade moves and the generator is turned on. Windmills are generally place in a single place and these places are known as wind farms which are generally located in coastal region or around mountains because the wind there is very strong.

C. Biogas

All of you must have heard of biogas in some part of your life. You must have studied this in Science when you were in Middle School. This energy is generally produced from that plants or animal dung or the Kitchen waste. These gases are mostly used as a fuel for cooking and lightning.

There are seven other forms of non conventional energy for example nuclear power and geothermal power but we are not discussing them right now. I hope you like this post and it adds some value to your life. Please like share and follow with your friends. Thank you
